Job description:

Coordinate and execute environmental planning projects, from successful initiation to completion of projects
Project management and collaboration with clients including defining project scope, objectives, and budgets.
Direct multi-disciplinary project teams and manage client and regulator communications.
Research and apply for funding opportunities
Conduct technical fieldwork in your area of expertise.
Prepare comprehensive reports detailing site conditions, impact assessments, and recommendations.
Drive business development by expanding your professional network and retaining clients.
Provide technical direction and mentorship to junior staff and volunteers
Developing and maintaining environmental protection program procedures and related documentation associated with monitoring programs.

Qualifications:

Possess a bachelor’s degree in environmental sciences, biology, ecology or related discipline
Strong research and analytical skills
Strong interpersonal and communications skills
Strong networking skills
Very organized; able to organize self and others
Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office programs or similar (e.g. Word, Excel, Access etc)
Fluent in spoken and written English

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience working in non-profit organization, land planning, grant writing, ecology or project management
Experience in relevant provincial legislation
Knowledge of local flora and fauna

We are also offering a great opportunity to gain practical work experience as an intern or volunteer. The successful candidate will be involved in all parts of our Stewardship work, including research work in the field, wildlife surveys, marketing, public relations and fund-raising. Room and full board is provided on site. We expect you to be self-motivated and comfortable with living on a wilderness ranch-based research centre in the wilderness and working in a remote environment.
